About Blood Ties:
1) Were you familiar with Tanya Huff's books prior to appearing on the show based on her work?
No
2) Without giving away spoilers, how would you describe your character?
That's a hard one, cause I sort of play 2, one rough around the edges but knows where the line is drawn, the other wild with no lines.
3) What was the interviewing process like for Blood Ties?
It was an offer - I was supposed to be in L.A., had rented an apartment so originally said no, but then I found out that it was James Dunnison who had asked for me and I had just worked with him on Whistler. So I thought why not, things weren't that busy in L.A yet
and from what I understood about the role it sounded interesting. James usually guides me gently and allows me a lot of creative freedom; I guess u could say we have a mutual trust for each other's work
4) Why did you accept this role on Blood Ties and what about the character appealed to you?
Ooh I think I just answered that, ha
5) Had you worked with any of the cast or crew prior to Blood Ties?
Just Christina on an episode of Andromeda, she came on as a guest, it was great working with her again.
6) Without giving away too much, what was your first scene filmed for the episode?
Showing up at Christina's office needing some help, she was an old colleague.
7) Is there a chance your character could return?
Not likely
8) Is Blood Ties the kind of show that you would watch, beyond the episode that you guest starred in?
I'm open to all types of shows; my tastes and moods vary greatly, so yes, at times.
9) What are the perks of being a guest star on Blood Ties versus a series regular star on Andromeda?
Don't know if there are any, both were fun.
10) Any memorable moments from the set? or lasting memories from working on the show?
Can't say, I'll give away the ending.
About You:
1) Many people believe that being an actor is a dream job, what's one thing about being an actor that you wish you would have known before you entered this profession?
I was a bit of a business person before getting into acting, what I lost was my business sense for a long time. I wish I would have know that it (acting) ain't personal, it's business; that point of view makes your skin a lot thicker.
2) After being on a successful long-running sci-fi series, do you feel typecast or do you feel like you have more opportunities in the sci-fi genre because of Andromeda?
Neither actually, I've been fortunate enough to get a wide range of roles in a variety of genres.
3) Your resume is quite impressive but is there a dream you are still reaching for?
Always - what it is I'm not sure because it always changes.
4) What's one thing that people would be pleasantly surprised to find out about you?
I'm a fairly open book, u get what u see.
5) What are your upcoming projects or appearances?
Continuum: the Stargate movie - Camulus is revived, Battlestar the season 4 opener, and these which have already aired but were filmed after Bloodties: E.R and CSI: Miami.
For Fun:
1) Since Blood Ties is airing in the United States but filming in Vancouver, what are some recommended things to do in Vancouver?
Definitely hit the trails and put on the hiking boots.
2) What's the current CD in your CD player, the movie in your DVD player and your most recent ticket stub in your wallet?
The Killers, King of Scotland and Shrek 3, ha.
3) What's the best or most memorable gift you have received from a fan?
That's between an autographed basketball (the fans signed it) and their donations to various charities on my behalf.
4) What's your favorite food and drink?
I just love food and drink too much to limit it to just one, but here's some recent stuff; a mortons steak and a chilled shot of tequila - nothing fancy.
5) What's your favorite Television Show of all time?
Family Guy
Thank you Steve!
my pleasure
