The episode begins with Vicki searching for an accountant who ran off with $15,000. Mike's helping her. They talk for a few minutes and then go to dinner.
Meanwhile, a homeless woman, Francine, moves away from the fire to go to her own little hole. She is never found, but at least six other people hear screaming.
Francine's "friend" (I guess you could say acquaintance since Francine wasn't a people person) goes to Vicki, giving her almost $100 to find out what happened to Francine.
Mike finds a body of a young woman. The catch - she's been drained dry of blood and has vampire marks on her neck. Mike automatically suspects Henry. A man named Mendoza (Julian Sands - I know him as Nick Hardaway in Stephen King's Rose Red) comes to Mike to say that he thinks Henry killed that girl and others, many others, and to say that Mike is not able to catch him. Mendoza says he lives by giving vampires salvation. He plays on Mike's feelings for Vicki.
Vicki has already sent Henry to the sewers, where Francine was last seen, to look. Henry finds blood. An Indian (Native American) says he thinks it's a Windigo. After a showdown with the creature in the sewers, the Indian is taken away and Henry has a wound on his neck that's not healing because he's lost too much blood.
Mike insists on seeing and interrogating Henry about the girl. It is revealed that Henry has killed many.
Vicki figures out the next day that the Windigo is afraid of fire. Coreen loans her a flame-thrower. Vicki and Henry head down to the sewers once again while Mike goes to Mendoza to get a sun-shaped amulet made to drain Henry of his powers so Mendoza can deal with him. The twist - Mike doesn't know that Mendoza gives vampires "salvation" by killing them.
Mike finds Henry and Vicki in the sewers and kills the Windigo. Mike then places the amulet on Henry, causing Vicki to get mad at him while Mendoza takes away an obviously-in-pain-and-vulnerable Henry.
There the show ends, to be continued next week.
