From Treisme: How hard was it to stay in character and be so creepy, when working with a blue screen? ((assuming you had the blue or green screen)) How DID they make you look so scary.. How long did all that
take?

There was a lot of shaving of arm hair, (that turned out not to be necessary, doh!) and then lots of free hand tattoos (that they took photos of and then made stencils for), spray painting me white and fake blood and white lens for my eyes.  The first time about 4 hours and then much faster after that!  It was easy to stay in character, every time I looked in the mirror or someone looked at me, the character just came out!! Besides it was near Halloween and during Halloween and that is my birthday so playing a ghost was easy
fun!!!

From Jules: As an actor - if you could be a part of any re-make, what movie would you be in and what part would you play? Why would you pick that part? Is there any character that you have a special affection for?

I am split here because my softy side wants to play George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life (my favorite movie) but the other part of me would love to reinvent Dracula!  I was born on Halloween and have also had a soft spot for Vlad in my heart!!  I played Dracula in grade 7 and got to bite Shauna Beagle on the neck, the closest thing to sexual ecstasy a boy in grade 7 can experience, trust me!!!

From InRibbons: I am wondering about the make up. How long of a process is that? We also heard that it was pretty cold that night so that must have made it even more difficult. How much of what you do is scripted and directed and how much if any if left to your discretion?

Well like I said before the makeup ranged from about 4 hours when first experimenting to about 2 1/2 hours
when we got it down.  It was pretty cold the whole shoot, especially being naked from the waist up.  The frosty night was when we shot the parking lot scene at the end, in and out of my warm-up jacket and I got a nasty cold that seemed to last for weeks if not months!!  David Winkler gave me a pretty clear idea of what he was looking for and what he wanted and then let me go from there so I would say it was my interpretation of his vision plus what I brought to it naturally being a bit of a ghoul myself, MAH HA HA HA AHHAHAHAH!

From backbeat.rhythm: Since you expressed that you'd be directing if you weren't an actor...if you were given the chance to direct an episode of any TV show which would you choose? Drama? Comedy? & why? Oh & by the way, I have to say I loved the way you described your reading for the part. Sounded like fun, haha!

Well I seem to be drawn to good dramas which normally include some comedy so I would say that I would do
anything written by David E. Kelly or Aaron Sorkin, meaning the West Wing (if it were still on) Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Boston Legal. I just think that it is some of the smartest writing around.  Of course any of the Star Trek Series that have every run!  Can you imagine going back in time and doing an episode of the original with Shatner, Nimoy and the gang?!  When we invent time travel holidays, watch the credits on your Collections change.  Write them down now!!  LOL!

From JocelynDawn: If you were going to be isolated on a tropical island for a week or more... what three
objects would you absolutely *have* to take with you?

Well practically a bucket of some kind to catch rainwater in, a fishing rod to catch dinner and a woman I loved to make mad passionate love with in this island paradise! I don't mean to objectify women but I am limited to 3 objects and a woman is not an object but who could survive a week without love!!

From MarieWP: After you saw the finished episode, did you scare yourself a little? I thought the effect was
really creepy.

I haven't seen the finished episode!! I am not the most savvy at computers and we don't get the show up here yet so I am going to have to try to find it somehow!!!!  I did see some of me while doing ADR and that was definitely creepy!!

From Dru: How did you feel about that whole reaching into a body and almost crushing their hearts?

Well as character I FELT GRRRRRREEEEAAAAT!!!!!  I mean, come on, those guys and gal deserved it!!  They
screwed me over!!!  As Alex the thought of it is pretty darn repulsive and nasty.  I am getting soft in my old age and whenever I see violence on TV or film I feel the pain in my body.  Let me tell you... hands reaching into the body to crush a heart... hurts!!!!!

From DreamVision: Were you as cold as you looked doing those final scenes outside? Is it hard to keep your
concentration when you are freezing?

It was cold but I had a great support team in costumes keeping me war, strategically placed host shots (wink,
wink) and it was fun!!!  The fun kept me warm and going!!

From freg: Hi Alex. Thanks so much for this little treat. You have done your share of horror work. Has there ever been a time in filming or on set where something just scared the pants of you?

Yeah, when I was filming Millennium with Lance Hendrickson... he scared me!!  LOL no just kidding he was great!  We were shooting at Riverview, (former mental hospital) now abandon and used for shooting. Well while walking around there, I just got the creepiest feeling and absolutely had to come back up into the light.  Felt like ghosts of the mad were about to tear my flesh off!!!  Ask me about my own ghost stories sometime!!

From Jules: Okay Alex - another question. After seeing the episode, you are one creepy guy!! Just downright
scary. So what do you do to access that kind of evil without letting it influence you? Do you have to take a breather before you go home just to get the bad vibes out of your system? Ever want to play happy, fuzzy bunnies?? LOL (Okaaaaaay...... That part was a joke. )

Well I am an actor so creating a back-story for myself really helps and of course playing the reality of the script!!!  This guy and others like him I have played don't consider themselves as baddies, they are just taking care of themselves and their wants and desires-!!  I do like fuzzy bunnies just so you know... "That I like them fired, sautéed and fricasseed, ah yes"  --- That is a rip off of a W.C. Fields quote when asked if he liked children!  LOL!

From Henrylvr: Did they put make-up all over you to make you blue?

You bet. Paint takes a long time to come off in the shower too, even after a lot of removal!!

Light474: I don't know if you will answer this question or not but I may as well ask anyways. Are you going to star in Stargate: Continuum, the Stargate movie?

No plans yet, keep your fingers crossed or better yet start a petition!! LOL

From Vampire_Lover: What were your experiences like on set? (Description of each cast/crew member,
basically). Any funny or amusing stories you'd like to share?

I had a great time, everyone was just great.  I have played the mate of Christina Cox on Sg1 (spirits) so we had a good time catching up and of course I did B5 LOTR with Dylan so he and I go way back!  Besides that
the crew was awesome, makeup, costumes, camera, grips, transport etc etc!  They even made me a cake for my birthday on Halloween so what more could a ghost ask for!  I had a great time.  It was like a fantasy come true playing a ghost on my birthday, all made up in a pro makeup job and getting paid for it!!!!!  I don't
know how many people would chose to work on their birthday.... but I sure as heck am one of them!!

From Jessie: What did your own mother think of you playing a character with "mommy issues"?

Well my mommy has seen me play some pretty intense characters so she has gotten used to it.  However she will never get used to seeing her little boy hurt on screen (character or not, it is still me under that makeup) and she can't separate the two when my character gets hurt so I try to shield her from the real rough stuff.  I think having my heart ripped out counts as rough stuff.  What do you think?  LOL
